I had a severe 'basement odor'. I bought several of these, intending to use multiples at once because it's a big basement and the odor was so strong...
I plugged one in and intended to do the others the next day (because the PACKAGING is SO hard to get open that I was miffed and thinking about returning the others).

Amazingly, after one day of running just one, there was a noticeable decrease in the basement odor. So, have your ax ready to open the package and your odor problems will be solved.

Next is my new kitchen cart that has an awful paint odor, but I wish these could run on batteries, because I'm going to have to run an extension cord into the cabinet for a few days.

Big Plus, if scented fresheners bother you, this one has none to trigger alergies.

Highly recommend these.

The scent of the lavender and gentle vanilla is okay but not great. Their other scents are stronger.

The alternating fragrances are wonderful, and I like the high/low control (though even on low, it was still too powerful for my small bathroom; we could smell it in the hall and living room). However, after having this air freshner plugged for a couple of hours, I started coughing and got a headache. I unplugged it and tried it again two weeks later but had the same reaction. If it didn't make me congested, I would say this is a great product. The fragrance doesn't bother my husband, so it must be something I'm allergic to. I don't have this problem with the Bath and Body Works Wallflowers, like Bath and Body Works Japanese Cherry Blossom Wallflower Home Fragrance Refills, so that's what I'll stick with.
