Simple to use, the French press is a proven method for brewing flavorful and balance coffee. Coffee is measured in 4 oz. cups, so our 4-cup press will brew 17 oz., serving one to two people. The small size makes it great for the home or office, anytime you want just one cup of coffee – plus maybe a little “top off”. For best results, use coarse ground coffee. Just add the appropriate amount of ground coffee to the beaker (we recommend one 7 gram scoop per 4 oz. of water). Fill the beaker with hot water (just off of a boil). Leave about an inch from the top of the beaker. Give the coffee a stir with a plastic or wooden utensil to mix it completely with the water. Set the plunger and lid unit in place with the safety lid in the closed position. Allow the coffee to brew for 4-minutes and then press. Turn the safety lid to the open position, serve and enjoy. Clean up is easy too – just scoop out the grounds with a rubber spatula, and rinse the beaker and filter. There is no paper or additional filter required. We purchased what was billed as a "single cup" press that was a bit too small -- didn't fill up a regular coffee mug. You also had to separate the glass and metal support for proper cleaning. All those issues are missing from this press. Molded plastic means it can take some "bumping" against things and the glass doesn't break. Also large enough to get one huge mug or two smaller cups done. For a single cup, I just don't fill the press up to capacity. Good choice.

I bought this as a replacement for a larger, older press. Works the same as any Bodum I have used before. The screen works and fits well, and has no issues with grinds getting into the coffee.
The only negatives, which are not really that negative, have to do with the glass and the actual press action. The glass seems to be a bit thinner compared to other models. While not a concern for heat loss as the liquid will only be in there for 5 minutes or so, it is more of a concern regarding durability. It seems like it may be a bit more fragile than thicker glassed models. The press action takes a steady hand with this model. There is not really much of a guide at the lid portion to ensure that a straight downward push is achieved, so care must be taken to not cock the press off center.

I love this french press, but it is kind of small in size and the lid is just a bit fragile. My wife and I share it and it is amos tthe perfect amount of coffee for us (key word almost). It would be perfect at 20 oz, but great for 17oz.

Tthe swiffer is lrager than standard. The wipes that come with it don't stay on. Also the package has two swiffers. You get two brushes... Not sure who the "geneous" behind selling two swiffers in one package. My bad for placing the order in a hurry. Too bad Amazon can have with qa control when listing items. In that area Costco is normally much stronger.

I hardly ever write reviews, but after buying this mop I had to write a review. I bought this mop after seeing a couple of commercials that lured me into trying this product out. This has got to be one of the worst purchases I have ever made. First the 2 wet mopping clothes are too small and you have to use both of them in the first use. Secondly, I have a one bedroom apartment and I couldn't even finish the entire floor before they come off. I wish I could return this product. I found it a complete waste of money.

I got a lot of compliments. One girl ask me once at the store: did you just take shower? You smell so fresh! That was cool, and if I remember I took shower that day too;)
Great for summertime, flowery, as I found description-top notes of gardenia, and bergamont, middle notes of white rosette and lily, base notes of sandalwood and satinwood.
I had one friend though that one her 212 smelled like strong unpleasant odour of sweat, and I was suprised. I would recommend to try a sample size (Sephora is great for that), because everybody have a different chemistry on the skin, different type of the skin, and diets, hormones, stress etc can determine the final note.
Overall one of my favorites!

I've been on the daily sunscreen band wagon for quite a few years and I've tried many - always looking for that perfect one. Like relationships, there are no perfect ones. But this one is pretty good in terms of ease of use, feel and protection - the sunscreen, I mean, of course. :)

Non-chemical sunscreens appeal to me but who wants to spend the day looking like a Geisha girl from the white face effect of zinc oxide? I have tried sunscreens that feel creamy smooth and look great on my skin, but are lacking in decent protection, those with a great protection pedigree that are just sticky and/or so shiny and oily that they make you want to wash your face and just forget it! And then there are the so-called "dry" sunscreens like this one. A wonderful concept, but like every other sunscreen, they have some trade-offs.

UVA PROTECTION:

I can't find a photo-stabilizer for the UVA protection in this sunscreen listed in its ingredients.

The only three ingredients approved by the FDA that can protect skin from UVA damage (the one that ages you) are Avobenzone (chemical), titanium dioxide, and zinc oxide (both white physical barriers). Outside of the US, Tinosorb and Mexoryl SX are also UVA-protecting ingredients, Mexoryl being arguably better or at least more photostable than our Avobenzone (i.e. exposure to sunlight breaks it down and reduces its effectiveness.)

This sunscreen (and the Neutrogena) both use Avobenzone. My major issue with this sunscreen is that it appears to contain nothing to photo-stabilize the Avobenzone. Normally you see octocrylene with Avobenzone because it's the most popular stabilizer. I don't see anything in the list of ingredients that matches any of the listed Avobenzone photo stabilizers I can find and that concerns me.

DISCLAIMER: That doesn't mean there isn't a stabilizer in there that is just going by a different name. Organic Chemistry courses were a long time ago for me and they certainly didn't cover sunscreen compounds so I have only a very basic knowledge of this subject and you should do your own research. It also doesn't mean it's not a good sunscreen. It might mean you need to put it on several times a day, which is a bit inconvenient if this is your daily sunscreen and you wear make up over it.

FEEL AND APPEARANCE ON YOUR FACE:

Overall, I really like the feel of this sunscreen but the Neutrogena dry is very similar in feel and application. This one goes on smooth and easy on clean skin. Very nice. I'd rate this one just slightly higher than the Neutrogena in feel. I definitely like the dry feature and not having shiny or white face, but it pills up on your skin if you rub your face or apply make up over it. (Both this one and the Neutrogena do this.) Perhaps another reason it needs to be applied well and often.

I can't say I like this one TWICE as much as the Neutrogena, though I do prefer it's lack of any scent and I think it goes on just a bit smoother.

ACTIVE AND OTHER INGREDIENTS (AS COMPARED TO NEUTROGENA DRY):

I checked the ingredients to see what I was really getting. There's really isn't any difference in the active ingredients, except a slight variation in percentages. But then with Neutrogena, you can always step up to the 45 spf (or higher) in the same product if you want more protection. Here they are for comparison:

Active Ingredients:

Roth Uber Dry:
Avobenzone 2.00%, Homosalate 8.00%, Octinoxate 7.50%, Octisalate 5.00%, Oxybenzone 3.50%.

Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry Touch (30 spf):
Avobenzone 2.0%, Homosalate 7%, Octinoxate 7.5%, Octisalate 5%, Oxybenzone 3.0%

Do you see much of a difference? Yeah, me neither. 1% more on Homosalate and 0.50% more of Oxybenzone, yet both achieved a 30 spf rating. The Avobenzone content is equal. So let's check the inactive ingredients that account for the look and feel and vitamins both promise:

Roth Uber Dry:

Water, Silica, Adipic Acid/Diethylene Glycol/Glycerin Crosspolymer, Glycerin, Vp/Hexadecene Copolymer, Dimethicone, Glyceryl Stearate, Peg-100 Stearate, Trimethylsiloxysilicate, Retinyl Palmitate (Vitamin A), Ascorbyl Palmitate (Vitamin C), Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Phospholipids, Edta, Hydroxyethyl Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer, Squalane, Polysorbate 60, Bisabolol, Cetyl Dimethicone, Xanthan Gum, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate, Crosspolymer, Tetrasodium Edta, Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Butylparaben, Ethylparaben, Isobutylparaben.

Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry Touch (30 spf):

Water, Silica, Adipic Acid/Diethylene Glycol/Glycerin Crosspolymer, VP/Hexadecene Copolymer, Dimethicone, Hydroxyethyl Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer, Glycerin, Oat Kernel Extract (Avena Sativa), Squalane, Ascorbyl Palmitate (Vitamin C) (Vitamin C), Retinyl Acetate (Vitamin A), Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), BHT, Cetyl Dimethicone, Bisabolol (L-Alpha), Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate (Licorice Root) (Licorice Root), Glyceryl Stearate, PEG 100 Stearate, Polysorbate 60, Tetrasodium EDTA, Butylene Glycol, Trimethylsiloxysilicate, Xanthan Gum, Benzyl Alcohol, Isobutylparaben, Isopropylparaben, Butylparaben, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance

While I'm not up for a romp through chemical literature on the differences, note that the first line of ingredients is nearly identical. Roth has Glycerin listed earlier than Neutrogena which may explain its smoother feel. Both sunscreens have vitamins A, C and E and various moisturizers.

The big difference to me is that last ingredient in the Neutrogena product, FRAGRANCE. I prefer my sunscreen without. Or maybe I just don't care for Neutrogena's choice of frangance. But then, the Neutrogena product can be had in a variety of different levels of protection, higher than 30 and for half the price.

CONCLUSION:

If you're looking for the absolute best protection in a sunscreen for a day at the beach, keep looking. If you're looking for a good dry touch sunscreen for every day wear, this one is high on my list of favorites. But it is so much like the Neutrogena product, again, for half the price, that I'm not sure it's worth it. If the cost were identical, I would choose this one for it's lack of fragrance and slightly smoother feel going on. And I still might splurge on it once in a while anyway. :)

I own over a dozen different pieces of the stoneware; it is a great product for the money. A lot less money than Emile Henry. Yes it is made in Thailand but I think Le Crueset has done a good job in keeping the quality up to their standards.

They need to make an 8" x 8" square pan; the 9" x 9" is very good however some recipes need the 8" square.

The pragma bed mattress platform quad-fold was purchased for use with a memory foam mattress. The pragma frame was easy to set up, just unfold and use the supplied wing nuts to bolt the frame together in two places. The Pragma website has a short video to show you how to set it up. I have found the frame to be strong and very quiet. Contrary to some reviews I have seen no evidence of welds breaking or any defect. I estimate the max weight on the this bed frame including mattress two adults a giant lab and a small schnauzer to be well over 450 pds, no issues at all.

I also like the huge amount of storage space you have under this bed.

Ok when I picked this up and it was so light I was dubious at best. However once I easily put it together, this thing is rock solid, no squeaks, no motion and I weigh 260lbs. Anyway, te folks complaining must be doing something wrong. As for the bad welds my buddy who is a sheet metal worker said they are good solid welds. My mattress is like new and it sleeps like a dream.

The pragma bed mattress platform quad-fold was purchased for use with a memory foam mattress. The pragma frame was easy to set up, just unfold and use the supplied wing nuts to bolt the frame together in two places. The Pragma website has a short video to show you how to set it up. I have found the frame to be strong and very quiet. Contrary to some reviews I have seen no evidence of welds breaking or any defect. I estimate the max weight on the this bed frame including mattress two adults a giant lab and a small schnauzer to be well over 450 pds, no issues at all.

I also like the huge amount of storage space you have under this bed.

Ok when I picked this up and it was so light I was dubious at best. However once I easily put it together, this thing is rock solid, no squeaks, no motion and I weigh 260lbs. Anyway, te folks complaining must be doing something wrong. As for the bad welds my buddy who is a sheet metal worker said they are good solid welds. My mattress is like new and it sleeps like a dream.

Introduction

I wanted to have an external portable drive (EHDD) that would not require another power cord, as I will be traveling it is a great benefit to be able to back up files and store other important files on an easy to access portable external EHDD. I also needed a lot of space, something that a year ago was out of my price range. However, [...] was having a sale and this only cost around $110, which was perfect. The Black/Chrome version (which I bought) comes with a dock that you can use to hook the EHDD to, I've only used it a couple times, but it works as advertised, though it does need to use two USB's instead of one.

Appearance

This device looks good, it doesn't smug that much due to the finish on the top and bottom, though the sides will get some finger prints on it, it shouldn't matter that much and it is easy to clean with a cloth or shirt. The EHDD has a glowing light that strobes slowly, indicating if the drive is in use. This is nice, though I wish it was more pronounced and that they used the smaller Seagate logo to indicate this instead of the radiating patter of dots. Overall, the design works, which is what it comes down to.



Construction quality

The build quality is good, but not spectacular. The sides are quite solid and feel like they can handle being hit; the material used for the top and bottom feels a bit weaker. But for all intents and purposes, unless you are continuously dropping this device from heights, it should hold up well.


Ease of installation

I am using Windows 7 64-bit Enterprise. On my machine it was a plug n' play affair, the only installation comes from the optional Seagate software (remember to go into Services on Windows if you don't want the FreeAgent executable running in the background all the time). The software has some useful features (standard backup, etc.) as well as the ability to change some settings on what the device will do (such as turning off the light). Overall it is a pretty standard affair, but one that gets the job done and is easy to customize (what you want to backup, when, etc.).


Ease of use

As stated above, minimal install (the setup is on the EHDD and you can run the .exe from there). It is a drag n' drop external EHDD, standard affair. Although, some people might be irked by the short USB cable, it uses a standard mini-USB connection, so you can just use one of your longer cables (from a camera, mp3 player or whatever other device you have a mini-USB cable for). Transferring data is relatively fast, it is not an e-SATA connection, just a USB 2.0, so don't expect blazing fast speeds, but unless you need to transfer enormous amounts very quickly, this should suit your purposes of backing up data or using it to play media.


Reliability

I have had no problems with this EHDD so far, but I can't give it 4 stars for reliability until I have had it for a longer period of time. I will update the review (with 5 stars for reliability) if this drive continues to perform well and doesn't have any problems.


Overall/Conclusion

This is a solid drive; it is compact, easy to use, and so far has got the job done. Do some shopping around on the internet to make sure you get it for the best price. If you have any specific questions, let me know in the comments questions and I will try to answer as best I can.

Im very dissapointed with seagate.

The hard drive works for a couple of months before you realize your data is corrupt.

This unit has a really big bug in the firmaware, maybe in the hard disk itself inside the
slim enclosure.

You need to reformat in a regular basis so your data dont get corrupted, Pathetic !

Avoid it.

I got the newer variant of this (last 3 characters in model name are 20U not 10U), which is supposed to be the same except for more power for the T5xx series. (Lenovo website says both are compatible with my Lenovo T410 computer.)

I thought I had a serious problem because the ethernet port simply would not connect. But I've since figured out that it had to do with some configuration problems on our office network (I won't go into details here, but they were obscure).

The minor problem I find is that the sound seems muted, but I am not worrying too much about that.

So no issues: buy one if you have a compatible system. (Check compatibility on the Lenovo website.)

With the Thinkpad Mini Dock Plus Series 3, there is no longer any unplugging of usb, power or video cables when I need to be on the go. A great plus is the dual monitor support and extra USB ports. The docking station comes with an AC adapter, so the adapter that came with the laptop is always available for travel without unplugging.

I had a severe 'basement odor'. I bought several of these, intending to use multiples at once because it's a big basement and the odor was so strong...
I plugged one in and intended to do the others the next day (because the PACKAGING is SO hard to get open that I was miffed and thinking about returning the others).

Amazingly, after one day of running just one, there was a noticeable decrease in the basement odor. So, have your ax ready to open the package and your odor problems will be solved.

Next is my new kitchen cart that has an awful paint odor, but I wish these could run on batteries, because I'm going to have to run an extension cord into the cabinet for a few days.

Big Plus, if scented fresheners bother you, this one has none to trigger alergies.

Highly recommend these.

The alternating fragrances are wonderful, and I like the high/low control (though even on low, it was still too powerful for my small bathroom; we could smell it in the hall and living room). However, after having this air freshner plugged for a couple of hours, I started coughing and got a headache. I unplugged it and tried it again two weeks later but had the same reaction. If it didn't make me congested, I would say this is a great product. The fragrance doesn't bother my husband, so it must be something I'm allergic to. I don't have this problem with the Bath and Body Works Wallflowers, like Bath and Body Works Japanese Cherry Blossom Wallflower Home Fragrance Refills, so that's what I'll stick with.
